Quilts of Valor

Quilts of Valor

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans who have been touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.  Individual quilters and quilt groups around the country use their skills to create quilts for combat veterans and active-duty military servicemen and women who have been in harm’s way. Since the Quilts of Valor Foundation began in 2003, more than 336,000 Quilts of Valor have been made and presented.

RRQ quilters began making Quilts of Valor in 2015 and since then more than 223 quilts have been made and presented.  When completed, quilts may be sent through the national foundation to designated destinations or they may be presented to local recipients.  We work closely with local organizations and veterans groups to honor veterans in our community with Quilts of Valor.
